Day 11

The blogging thing is new to us so we have been learning a lot...
The 'comment' word at the end of each day's blog can be clicked and no registration needed.
Hope this clears confusion, though emailing us is always ok!

We will probably get some idea of recovery today, as three therapists did an evaluation yesterday. We hear that he is doing very well, and by the way , it could take two years! My hope feel like a ping pong ball! They are trying to get all paperwork together to transfer him to a acute facility near San Jose. They take patients out of ICU, so it may be quick. We are truly trying to live, one day at a time...

  1. Cathe and Steve, I remember when you had just had Nate, I do believe he got his first chiropractic adjustment as an infant. I have had him in my prayers and positive thoughts many times each day. He has so many of us behind him, hugs to all of you. If you need a stress release and want to come in for an adjustment, it is my gift for all you are going through. Savannah and I both send our LOVE, Robin Peterson

  2. Dear Cathe and Steve, I believe that any Rehab. place near San Jose will be top notch since the O.T. school at SJSU has been there for probably 50 years. Not knowing exactly what you are asking suggestions about, to help stimulate alertness for eating, try having him wash his face with a wash cloth, sitting in another chair, and using all the senses to evoke appetite/interest in the food. If you all eat with him, there will be more noise, then there is a sense of normality/focus on the food and not just a spectator thing. You are right about the Jamba Juice, the cold will wake him up and help his swallowing. Love to you, Anne
